Community Spirit Camden Town
Man 3: I’ve just been so inspired by the community spirit here in Camden town. The warmth and encouragement we’ve had from the public and it sort of makes it melt away the fact that it’s near enough below freezing in the evenings.
Emily: But what is their motivation for braving the cold, hard cobbles? We grabbed our sleeping bags and went down to find out for ourselves at Camden Town.
Man 4: I think what brought me was a feeling that in this country to sort of fight austerity we really need to build a movement, we need to educate people, organize people, allow people a voice in a sort of safe place.
Man 5: There’s less funding for education obviously with the tuition fees issue as well. Lots of students now just give up any idea of going to a university. The whole idea of social mobility really goes out the window now.
